The 2022 Krutz Chardonnay is once again a blend between the new world Old Wente clone and the old world Montrachet clone. Aged sur lie for the life of the wine, there is a richness and complexity in texture that balances the present and refreshing acidity. Tropical fruit and the expected minerality from the Soberanes Vineyard are on full display with a backing of subtle oak and a lingering finish of lemon zest.Vineyard Notes
Located next to Gary’s Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, the Soberanes Vineyard is a joint venture between the Pisoni and Franscioni Families.
